Why Built-in Ovens?

If you’re thinking about renovating or building a new kitchen, you’re going to need to think about what kind of oven you want. Whilst a freestanding range might seem easier to incorporate, and require less planning at this stage, a little bit of thought being put into your decision will result in a kitchen that is practical and visually appealing.

Flexibility

While in theory you can put a freestanding range anywhere there is space, in terms of practicality, a built-in wall oven can often be a more elegant solution. As well as having flexibility in terms of height it can also help spread out cooking focus points in your kitchen, which can be very practical if you often have more than one pair of hands doing the cooking.

Seamless Integration

If floor space is at a premium in your kitchen area, the last thing you’re going to want is a chunky appliance dominating the area. Incorporating a wall oven into your kitchen can also allow you to keep your kitchen area more open, without compromising on cooking space.

Adaptability

If you like the setup of a freestanding range cooker, but would rather have a bit of extra floor space in your kitchen, you can combine a cooktop with a built in wall oven underneath – this will leave you with counter space right up to the cooktop, rather than having gaps around your oven as with traditional ranges. The ability to split up the cooktop and oven sections of a range allows you to custom design your kitchen to your exact needs.

What about Double Ovens?

Another perk of opting for a built-in wall oven is your increased cooking options. If you’re a keen baker or host, you may benefit from having two ovens, one above the other. With half size and full size options available, you can choose an option that suits you – whether you need to keep one dinner item warm while the other finishes, execute a delicious cake for a dinner whilst baking cookies for soccer practice, or even roast your chicken and vegetables separately to finish them both perfectly – the added benefits of a double oven are easy to appreciate if you love cooking and baking.
